Hi there!
Apollo, formerly known as Ellington, is doing amazing after only 1 week in his new home! We absolutely adore him and can’t wait to see his progress! He really is doing great and are so happy we found him. Here’s a little update on him...
Hi I’m Apollo, formerly Ellington, and I was adopted last Saturday. After only 1 week in my new home I am feeling more and more confident every day. I was one of the Georgia dogs and it was clear I had never been in a house before. My first night I was so scared I tried to push on widows to get outside, but calmed down once I was in my crate. Every day I’ve been making progress. I love my doggie sister and surprised my mom one night when I pulled out some toys on my own and was throwing them around. I am great at sharing and don’t like to play alone. I still haven’t been able to relax completely and lay down outside of my crate, I’m still very nervous and pace around a lot but I’m getting there. I wake my mom up crying all night because i don’t like being in my crate alone. I especially don’t like to be in my crate when mom is at work and takes my sister with her. I got caught trying to slam apart my crate by the downstairs neighbor. Mom works for a vet and animal rescue and brings my sister to work every day, and she wasn’t planning on trying to bring me for a couple weeks, but when I tried to hurt myself in the crate she decided to give me a chance. I’ve been going to work for a couple days now and I’m so happy there. I have my own room with a crate, but I like the noise of talking and other animals it makes me feel better. I don’t like people touching me other than my mom, but they can say hi and I don’t get as scared anymore. Mom says I’m doing great and she can’t wait to see my progress, but I still have a long way to go.
Thanks again for helping us find our newest family member, we love him so much!

-She's completely housebroken and will let you know when she has to use the restroom
- she loves to give kisses when I come home from work.
- she enjoys eating Ice cream cone and gets overly excited when it's time to go to the park.
- she loves smiling when it comes time to take pictures
- she enjoys playing tag with her brother and sister and is very protective toward them.
- she is the most mild mannered Shepherd that I've ever had.
-Needless to say she's spoiled and is doing just fine.
Zeus is the sweetest, goofiest GSD ever! He fits in our family well and loves to play with his canine sisters, June and Kerry. He has completed beginning, intermediate, and tricks classes and graduated with flying colors. This spring, he will attend advanced classes and hopefully in the future, pass the Canine Good Citizen test. He really is a cherished member of our family.
This is Recon. Prior to my adoption he was with you as Jeremy.
He's taken quite well to his home. The two cats here and he are getting along well. Well, one cat loves him, the other glares and leaves but there's no actual problems.
The biggest thing was that the primary home owner, who is generally scared of bigger dogs due to an unfortunate incident when younger has no problem at all walking, petting or playing with Recon. He's got a great personality and my housemates have already stated that if anything were to happen to me, Recon stays here with them.
Here's a current pic of him lounging around.
Chance (fka Rourke) has been a wonderful addition to our family. His favorite things are playing with his Jolly Ball, keeping our yard free of squirrels, snuggling on the couch with his kids and hanging out with his brother Henry. Chance could really not be any sweeter! We are very blessed to have found him.
Ellie has turned into a beautiful sweet girl. When we got her she was scared of everything. Fear aggressive. We have had her for 17 months now and she is a very happy safe girl. She is super attached to her sister, Stella. As long as she is with her, her anxiety is at bay. She is very protective of me. We found out through DNA testing that she is 25% Grey Wolf. She LOVES to counter surf, but we have finally outsmarted her ;) This goofy girl is loved by everyone that knows her. She has been a perfect fit in our house J
Kobi is a great dog! He is our first rescue, and I will definitely rescue again. He has been so perfect for us. I initially wanted a young dog (puppy to a year old or so) so that we could train the way we wanted, name, etc. BUT now after having Kobi who was either 4/5 years when we got him (you guys were unsure of his age), I would highly recommend an older dog! We never dealt with any of the typical puppy issues, he's never gone to the bathroom in the house, he's never chewed on anything, he's so chill. I just love him! He's my buddy, and he makes me smile every day! He follows me closely ALL the time. He makes me feel safe and my boys too. He's handsome and sweet. And, he's a great part of our family!
Myla (Adopted 7/22/2016) is our sweet fur baby. We spoil her like a child and we love coming home to her wagging tail, and love cuddling on the couch. Myla absolutely loves swimming in the water and rolling around in the snow. She's like going on car rides with us and never wants to be left behind! We're so glad she chose us for her furever home, and wouldn't want it any other way.
Roxanne is doing great and has adjusted well into our home. She is great with our son and our niece. She sometimes tries to chase our cats but every night they are always cuddled up together. She is best buddies with our other dog and they could play for hours. She LOVES going to the dog park and is obsessed with fetch. Roxanne and our Family are so happy to of found each other.
